To become Iran’s Supreme Leader, Sayyid bloodline is virtually mandatory — an Azerbaijani Turkish family would need to construct one. Second, the weakness of partial mixed-lineage claims. The argument is that somewhere in 1,400 years, an Arab Sayyid family intermarried. Even one thread of Muhammad’s blood would justify the Sayyid claim. But being 99% Turkic while claiming Semitic authority through that one thread makes one essentially Japheth. Third, the absence of independent verification. The Khamenei family’s Sayyid claim has never been independently verified. The Khomeini family descendants in Kintoor directly denied any blood relation to Khamenei.

The fundamental contradiction of Iran’s power structure

Islam is an Arab (Shem) religion. Shia legitimacy derives from Muhammad’s (Shem) bloodline. Iran is a Persian/Turkish (Japheth) country. The Iranian people already sense this contradiction. The 2022 “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests featured chants of “Death to the Mullahs.” Every year on Cyrus the Great Day, tens of thousands gather at Pasargadae to celebrate pre-Islamic Persian identity.
